Business Partners Compete At Football

The company football team has been in recent action competing against two regional architect firms.

In November Jeakins Weir and GSS Architecture battled to a 1-1 draw at Tresham College, Kettering (pictured below). GSS has its Head Office in Kettering.

In December the opponents were pHp Architects in a game that Jeakins Weir won 1-0. The friendly match was played at Lodge Park Sports Centre in Corby on an all-weather pitch.

pHp is based in Northampton. It is currently working with Jeakins Weir at Kings Cliffe Primary School, Moulton Primary School, Henry Chichele Primary School, and Roade Primary School.

These friendly football matches enable staff to get to know each other better and also recognises the value of close business partnerships.

Ian Dennett, Senior Quantity Surveyor at Jeakins Weir, says: “We have enjoyed coming together as a company and competing against consultants with whom we work on a day-to-day basis in a friendly but competitive environment. The standard has been surprisingly good and we are pleased to be undefeated so far! Hopefully there will be a few more games in 2017.”
