This project was the last of around £10m of works that we carried out for The King’s School in Peterborough. This phase of the works was negotiated with the school following on from the successful completion of the other works around the school campus. By this stage the school knew us very well and were pleased to be able to entrust us on this final element of the school refurbishment.
The works comprised the removal of existing stair wells and the construction of new insitu stairwells as well as a new lift. The classrooms were also remodelled and required the construction of an internal steel frame within the existing school building.
The school remained occupied and we had to work around the ongoing school activities – this required careful co-ordination of our works, which included extensive demolition works. Once again, we were able to complete these works to the complete satisfaction of the school.
