The King’s School – Victorian Building Refurb

This major project for the school was awarded to us after we had successfully completed two previous projects for them. The award of this contract was testament to the trust they had in us and of the excellent working relationship we had developed with the school and the design team.

The project comprised the demolition of an existing building and the construction of a new 6th form block as well as an inner courtyard. Access was very limited on this inner city site and was bounded on 3 sides by the existing occupied school. We used a static tower crane to load materials around the site.

Following the completion of the 6th form building, we then carried out the refurbishment toe the Victorian school (in two phases). This work was carried out in the occupied school and coordination woth the school was important due to noise and access restrictions throughout this work.
